Puzzle Cube

.engineers notebook

The purpose of this project was to help us understand the design process.

1.First we defined the problem which was the waste of cubes by the company and we decided to make a puzzle cube out of what was being wasted by the company.

2. Brainstorming
For this part we brainstorm ideas on the different pieces that we could get from the cubes to later on make a solution to make a cube.

3.After we brainstorm we used the solutions we found out with only 5 pieces and they couldnt repeat to make the puzzle cube.
4. After we had our solutions we made a mock-up

5. after we had eveything figured ou we made our cube.

Applied Statistics

Objective: The objective of this project was to generate a data set of linear measurements.
Calculate the mean, mode, median, and range of a data set.
Create a histogram of recorded measurements showing class interval and frequently.

Notebook
In the picture above is the work shown to find the mean, median, mode, and range we work with dial calipers to measure each one of the 27 cubes.

Sketching Techniques

In intro to engineering class we learned different types of sketching techniques for example Oblique Pictorials and Isometric. Oblique meaning you have a front view and isometric a corner is facing you. For example:

The History of Measurements

In engineering class we were assigned to research the history of measurements me and my partner Jose padron decided to do a book cover instead of a CD cover and we had some good ideas. We work as a team to do research and find information for our slides .

Slide show

We were giving an assigment to pick anything in history that  has been invented or innovated me and my partner we choose Video Game Consoles and how they have been innovated during history. We spoke about how they have changed in not only shape but in graphics and new features. When we were done we presented our slide show to our classmates.

Ideas to Innovate a Beverage Container

Engineers Notebook

Poster

In Intro To Engineering class we were asked to Innovate a cup. Me and my partner Jose Padron we thought of a cup with a toothbrush and floss attached to it so when your brushing your teeth you can use the cup to hold water in it and so you can rinse and spit the water out. Also we put floss attached to it so you wont lose it and get the job done.
